To register, you must create an account or log in, for returning campers. This is not the same as your scouting.org login.
Once you have created an account, you will need to log in to register. Be sure to select your volunteer and/or child’s shirt size.
Stay tuned for information about a potential Twilight Camp in the Fort Mill area, this July.
See you this summer!
All Scouts and volunteers must have an updated BSA Health form
Any adult volunteer who is not a registered leader must complete an adult application to be a merit badge counselor.
This does not cost anything or actually make you a merit badge counselor.
Palmetto Council runs background checks using these applications.
Swim Check and Registration will take place on June 16th, from 1-4, at Bethelwoods.
Father’s Day is finally free! The swim check can be intimidating to children so please assure your scout that they will be
allowed in the pool no matter what. The depth they can enter is determined by their swimming skills, and regulated by the BSA.
Camp is organized and run by volunteers. Each pack will need to provide one full week of volunteering for every five children.
You will receive a confirmation email that will say your child is on the waitlist, until volunteer needs are met.
The volunteer to child ratio is a legal issue, and we have to comply, but we will work with your packs to make sure every child who wants to come to camp gets to join the fun.
A week of volunteering can include more than one person, as long as the full week is covered. Older scouts (beyond Webelos) are an excellent source of volunteers.
We will place them in areas appropriate for their age.
Volunteers are required to complete online and on-site training. Go to my.scouting.org to take Youth Protection (over 18 only), Weather Hazards, and Safe Swim Defense.
In person training dates are May 18th or June 1st, from 9-12. Location to be determined.
Each volunteer will receive one shirt, and can order more for $10 each. Volunteers who attend training and every day of camp will receive a $25 refund from their child’s fees at the conclusion of camp.
